Wu Xi Spare Ribs
 
 
 Ingredients · 600g spare ribs, 10g red rice
· 8 red dates
· 1 "Chao Guo"
· einch cinncmon stick
· 1500ml water
 
 Marinade · 1 tbsp light soy sauce
· 1 tbsp cornstarch
· 1/8 tsp pepper
 
 Seasoning · 100g rock sugar, 4 tbsp light soy sauce
· 1 tbsp HP sauce
· 1 tbsp tomato sauce
· 1 tbsp tomato puree, 1 tsp sugar

  Method to COOK!
 
1. Cut the spare ribs into convenient pieces (about 1 einches length). Rinse and drain well, add in marinade, mix well. Deep-fry into hot oil for a while. Remove and keep aside.
 
2. Bring the water and the rest of ingredients to a boil, add in prefried spare ribs pieces and seasoning, bring back to the boil, then reduce to low heat, simmer for about 1 ehours or until the spare ribs are tender and the gravy is slightly thick. Remove from heat. Serve hot.
