· 10g American ginseng
· 5g biota seeds
· 15g poria
· 20g lily bulbs (soaked with hot water till soft)
· 2 eggs (cooked and shells removed)
· 20g honey
· 600ml water
Method to COOK!
1.
Place all the ingredients into a pot and simmer for 45 minutes until approximately 300ml water remain.
2.
Add the cooked eggs and simmer for a further 10 minutes. Add honey and serve.

This tea is especially soothing for those recuperating from fever or acute cough. It settles irritability, strengthens the digestion (frequently weakens after strong medication) and detoxifies the system.

Post-natal mothers can benefit from this tea due to the moistening effect. It nourishes the nutritive fluids (yin), prevents dryness, dissolves phlegm, settles the mind and regulates water (prevents edema).
