· 1 chicken
· 1 tsp salt
· 1 tbsp ginger wine
· 1 can coke
· 1/2 cup dark soy sauce
· 400ml water
· 4 slices ginger

Clean and wipe dry the whole chicken. Rub salt and ginger wine on the chicken. |

Bring coke, dark soy sauce and water to the boil with ginger. Simmer for 5 minutes. |

Put in the chicken and bring to the boil again without covering the lid. And then, switch to low heat and simmer for 15 to 20 minutes until done. |

Remove the chicken and leave it cool. Chop into pieces. |

Pour hot sauce over chicken to serve. |
