Braised Chicken In Prune Sauce
 
 
 Ingredients · 1/2 chicken
· 1 tbsp chopped shallot
· 1 tbsp chopped garlic
· 12 preserved prunes
· 50g pickled pimento
 
 Marinade · 1/2 tsp sugar, 1/2 tsp corn flour
· 1/2 tbsp light soy sauce, 1 tbsp ginger wine
 
 Sauce · 400ml water, 1/2 tsp chicken powder
· 1 tbsp dark soy sauce,1 tbsp sugar, 1 tbsp rice vinegar
 
 Thickening glaze · 2 tbsp water, 1 tsp corn flour

Method to COOK!
 
1. Chop chicken into pieces, mix in marinade and leave it for 15 minutes.
 
2. Heat 3 tbsp of oil in saucepan, saut¨¦ shallot and garlic until fragrant, put in chicken and stir fry for a while.
 
3. Pour in sauce and add preserved prunes, bring to the boil and then switch to low heat and simmer for 30 minutes. Stir in pickled pimento.
 
4. Thicken the sauce with corn flour solution. Serve hot.
